Stretch Mark Removal Cream
An essential part of eliminating stretch marks is using a cream or moisturiser to moisturise your skin and promote healing. There are many different stretch mark creams and treatments available for both male and female, from your pharmacists and online. Some treatments are specifically oil-based, which boast better absorption into the body and fast results.
There are a few things to bear in mind when applying oil-based stretch mark creams. The first thing to remember is that it’s best to apply them regularly. Small, regular doses of oil-based stretch mark cream is going to keep your skin optimally healthy and moisturised. If you don’t get into a habit in moisturising your skin, you may be tempted to use more than you need in an attempt to catch up. This is not going to work. Your skin can only absorb and use so much moisture in the healing process. Make sure your applications are regular, as directed on the cream instructions. If there are no instructions, aim for twice a day, preferably just after bathing. Make it part of your morning and evening routine.
Remove Strech Mark Oils and Creams
Second, it’s best to try warming up your stretch mark removal oils and anti stretch mark creams. Having them slightly warmer than room temperature – about luke-warm – will help with their absorption into your body and give you better results. If your oil or cream is cold, it will sit on the surface of your skin and get brushed off on clothing rather than being absorbed. This is a waste of cream and your hard-earned money!
Use stretch mark removal cream sparingly. If you use an excess of oil or cream, then it does no good for your stretch marks. Too much oil and cream applied will simply clog your skin’s pores, rather than being absorbed as your skin ‘breathes’ the moisturising effect in.
Be aware of what goes into your stretch mark removal oils. Different oils available from your pharmacist will have different applications, depending on what sort of treatment they’re targeting. Most moisturising creams will be good for stretch marks in a general sense, but certain oils and products will be specifically designed to reduce or eliminate stretch marks on particular parts of the body and skin. Most stretch mark removal oils will have cocoa butter in some amount. For early-stage stretch marks, oils with wheat germ oil and Vitamin C are going to be most helpful. Oils with doses of Glycolic acid will stimulate collagen production, but the dermatological jury is still out on its effectiveness in treating older stretch marks.
As always, the basic rules of stretch mark elimination and treatment apply: keep hydrated, moisturise thoroughly and according to a regular routine, exercise regularly, and consult a dermatologist for specialised treatments if over-the-counter medicine isn’t having the effects you want. The faster you start to treat your unwanted stretch marks, the better and more effective the treatment will be, and the faster you will lose your stretch marks without any need to hide your stretch marks with a stretch mark cover up.
